The Houston Texans, winners of six of their last seven games, are putting their 12-2 record up against the Minnesota Vikings 8-6 squad this Sunday night. Both teams will be fielding top tier running backs in the Texans’ Arian Foster and the Vikings Adrian Peterson.
“It’s a special moment,” Foster said recently. “I feel like I’m one of the better backs in the NFL, and he is, too. Anytime you can get two backs of that caliber on the same field at the same time, it’s a nice little gift for the fans, so, hopefully, we (he and Peterson) can put on a show.”
The Vikings need to win this game to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The team are currently seeded 6th and are in control of their destiny. Head Coach Leslie Frazier is surely aware of all the scenarios but is trying to keep his team focused on the task at hand.
“I won’t even try (going through the ways his team gets into the playoffs)” Frazier said. “I won’t even try. We’ll be focusing on how we can beat a very, very good football team, the Houston Texans. That’s the most important thing, without question.”
The Texans have already secured the AFC South Division title.
